07La Notte Splenderà

Two moments of the same project, both outputs of the pedagogical path with the students: a trashprinting workshop and a collective performance. Co-directed with Nico Angiuli.

Workshop: Terre incognite, trashprinting

I led the students of the Rosa Luxemburg school in Acquaviva on a drift through the abandoned fields of Adelfia. We picked up the rubbish we found there and washed it. Then ziczic and Elena Campa showed us how to print with it, in a trashprinting workshop I curated, on 15 and 16 March 2023 at the former FSE station: leaves, pine needles and what the fields had thrown back, inked with rollers, a pasta machine for a press. What is thrown away in the countryside comes back to the table.

The labels of Blu Sàtiro came out of it. Each label is a single print. On the back, a line of a poem of mine, so the label rolls out to be read.

Performance: La Notte Splenderà

Welcome to Üvensburg, the town of Amnesia. A virus has erased the memory of everyone. A group of protesters demands to exist, in poor words, shouting anger. The land is the only mother that has not left them, and on the funeral notices are the names of the last ones who lived.

Blu Sàtiro, a wine made of stories, survives the virus. A blue goat-man with golden horns tells the forgotten episodes like a collective liturgy. The farmers taste their burnt land again, and their own flavour: blue. Collective performance at the former railway station of Adelfia.
